The fall and winter seasons are when I indulge in Starbucks coffee, at no other time in the year am I so drawn to it. And I love the festive cups they start using around Thanksgiving! This is my favorite coffee and it's actually available year round but it isn't on the menu. Starbucks starts with a basic Cafe Mocha and adds peppermint syrup, tops the whole thing with whipped cream and chopped peppermint candy. The toppings I usually skip but the rest of it is perfect, everyone I've had try it can't get enough. I was going to list the calories for you but I can't bring myself to look it up, some things even I'm better off not knowing. Go ahead and try it (just don't drink it every day). I love having one of these in my hand while viewing Christmas lights or while walking around shopping for Christmas gifts and decorations.

ReplyDeleteNot only do we not have a Starbucks where I live in Australia but I find myself more and more wanting to experience a cold (white would be even better!) Christmas. It must be so different to shop and eat in comfort and rugged up rather than boiling hot and unable to get out of the pool!!
Sarah, I think the movie perception of a USA Christmas is more prevalent in the northern states (Vermont is stunning at Christmas time). Unfortunately in my 25 years I've only seen a white Christmas in the Carolinas once and often it doesn't get really cold until January (a light sweater will do on Christmas Day).

I don't wander into Starbucks often...my tea and coffee days were back in university ;) But right beside my condo there's a starbucks and I love peppermint! So I might have to give it a shot - amazing how many calories can be in a drink though!
